The Century

On June 15, 1938 the new Twentieth Century Limited emerged from Grand Central Station in New York City and La Salle Street station in Chicago charging into the American landscape forever changing it. It was the era of Martinis, Fedoras and cigarettes. Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller led the Big Bands; William Powell and Fred Astaire graced the silver screen in black tie, top hat and tails.
